Unplanned Vacation video
On the 2nd week in March 2020 when the pandemic broke, and everyone was sent home from their jobs, I suddenly found myself with an abundance of free time and nowhere to go.
The first thing I did was head into the studio to play, and a catchy new instrumental guitar-based tune was soon born. I didn’t think too long before coming up with the title “Unplanned Vacation”.
I don’t remember what happened next, but for some reason it seemed like a good idea to make a music video for the song. Before we knew it, we were cleaning up the back office and setting up lights, and within a few short days, it was posted online for the world to see.
I’m really glad we made this video for a few reasons, one being it was our faithful dog Biscuit’s acting debut in a music video, and just 18 months later, at the ripe old age of 16, he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.
It may have been prophetic (for Biscuit), but this video ends with both of us crossing over a rainbow in a boat.
Ok, so a few folks found this video less than compelling, and one friend even said his daughter makes better Tic Tok videos. But just to be fair, no money was spent at all, and it was made entirely at home during the pandemic lockdown of 2020.
